Major Surprise...

I got a major shock just a moment ago. My oldest son David Jr, who's thirteen years old, just told me he wants to grow his hair long like I am doing. He said that he wants a ponytail. He also wants to be included on the web-site with me and his uncle. By this time next year his bangs should be down around mid-neck. This is way too cool. This was totally his decision right out of the blue. I had nothing to do with it. Watch for him to be added to the site sometime tonight. I will have to totally reconstruct the layout of the site to add him in. Awesome! Peace!

Too cool! After your son's hair gets about chin length, I'm betting he'll be chased by the girls after a while. =) He'll REALLY stand out. The guys will be jealous and the girls will be intrigued.
Do warn him that he might get teased a lot by the guys and maybe some of the girls, but reassure him that it'd be better for him to grow out some VERY cool looking hair than to cut it and look like a "sell out". Tell him I said good luck, and to visit my hair growth progress site every once in a while so he doesn't get too discouraged.
And most of all, tell him that I said to keep a good sense of humor through the months! :)
Oops, the above post was by me...

I was going to post the same advice to Treyn. Peer pressure is a very important factor for kids. They don't want to be cast aside by their peers. As he becomes "different" from his friends, that could happen. He'll need lots of support from his family.
I witnessed this myself as a teenager in the 70s. I had longish hair myself but the few boys with short hair (i.e. uncovered ears) back then were considered nerds and outcasts just because they weren't like "the rest of us".
I wish him good luck.

Hmmm, your hair is not THAT long in that pic (there were guys who had much longer hair in the early 70's), yet they were still picking on guys with shorter hair? People are strange ...

Aaron, we're waiting for your monthly update! I have to say, I thought your hair looked great when it was straightened.
So busy lately...

I've been ultra busy lately with work and school, plus on top of that my girlfriend is busy everyday for the school theatrical performance, so I think I'll skip this month. Around the middle of April I'll put up another set of pictures, though. I'll have much more time. Sorry. :(
this must be a 1st!

... a lot for the encouragement to my son and the parental advise to me as well. I realize this is a cruel selfish world we live in, but there are sometimes when we have to go out on a limb and be ourselves instead of letting the society around us do the shaping of our character. No business like risky business! Peace!!!!! (I should have my son on my site sometime before tomorrow hopefully. Check back!)
