I'm a french man, and from 4 years I let growing my hair. I had past my soulders, 40 cms and my wife don't like my long hair she say it look feminine...it's better for a man to have short
Two months ago, I don't know why, she propose me to cut my hair. She learn when she was younger in a hairdresser. She say me she is going to cut not to much, but she cut like a long bowl cut just above my shoulders, with a big frange at the same long, and make me a new color all the same, blond. The first time I go out I don't feel very good, and somebody know me say something no good.
From this time, she want always to make me brushing to have very staight and little rond on the end. My wife say me also now you look like a girl, and she want I put always sweaters in mohair, red or black often long like a dress.
I don't know why my wife want I change like this because she don't like before my long hair.
For me it's begin difficult, she is always after me
If there any body this experience ?

Seeing as YOU are the man -- you need to tell your wife that your hair is your choice. Period. Do NOT compromise yourself to please another. She may not like it, but that is a display of her simply being shallow and/or being subservient [SP?] to what is popular in society.
I love women with long hair; however, if I had a wife that wanted short hair [for herself] -- that would be her choice -- and I would respect it. She should respect YOUR choice -- be it long or short.
I don't accept any of the arguments that men should have short hair to look like "men". That's just BS [IMHO].
It's time for YOU to "lay down the law" OR tell her to back off of the issue. It's your choice -- not her choice. Period.
Anyway, that's my opinion on the matter -- be it right or wrong (in the mind).

This sort of question is often more compicated than at first appears.
Yes, it is your choicehow you have your hair,
but
when you are in a relationship, there often has to be give and take on both sides.
So does your wife have her hair the way she wants, or the way you want?
Does she wear the kind of clothes that you want or that she wants?
Maybe she feels that you are asking too much in some other aspect of your relationship, so she is now asking for her way over your hair.
You will have to work it out in the way that works for you both, but make sure that she knows exactly how you feel, and be sure that both of you try to respect the other's situation.

So she go at the extreme and make me like a girl.

From your replies to all those who have responded, it is clear that there is a fundamental problem with the relationship which probably has nothing to do with hair.
If you want to solve that problem, you will have to find out what the real problem is. That will not be easy, because men and women have different understanding of logic.
It is likely, however, that s wants to dominate you because she thinks you have tried to dominate her in some way, or that you have humiliated her. Think back - is there some incident which upset her a lot? (I don't want to know the answer, just ask the question of yourself). Once you have a few clues, work from there.

I think your wife wants to get rid of your hair in STAGES.
1st it's the BOWL-type cut and now she wants it shorter still...
But what's this thing about her wanting YOU to wear sweaters...

Not sure why people haven't notice most of the feminine men have short spikey hair. Rarely have I seen homosexual men with long hair. Acually i can't remember of seeing any. Guys now get diamond studs and is hugely popular with all men. So wtf is wrong with long hair. If she wants you to have your hair your way, make her have her hair your way, dress by your taste, etc. See if she likes it.

Just my opinion, but sounds like no matter what you do she may not like it. Also it sounds like total lack of respect for you as a person. Why not tell her you would like to see her with a "Buzz-Cut?" Get a pair of sheers and "Buzz" HER hair almost off. (And while you're at it perhaps slap a little "After-Shave" to the face?) The whole thing sounds like utter lack-of-respect. I personally would NEVER take "abuse" such as this. I am truly sorry you have been treated this way and it has upset you so. Good luck.

Didn't you see this coming? There had to be some domination issues before you married her. This couldn't have been a sudden change. A person as dominant as that would have had a hard time hiding it.
How long did you go out before marriage, and how long have you been married? She must have known you wanted long hair, considering you've been growing it for 4 years!
It sounds as if she's trying to make you miserable. Maybe its time to seek a divorce lawyer. This situation sounds like it's just going to get worse.

It sounds like your wife did a wonderful job with your hair. What a pretty hair style she gave you. I love that you are now blonde.
I think you are lucky to have such a wonderful wife who wants to make you pretty.
Maybe your wife can try other hair styles on you as well.
