Wow.. I leave for nearly a year...

... and look what happens!
Granted, not a lot's changed as far as I can tell, but I wanted something witty to say hello again with.
Suffice it to say, I've returned, yet again (been posting off and on for about 3 or 4 years now)! And this time, I have brand spankin' new pics!
I got my first digital camera last week, as a gift from work for a job well done. It's a 2.0 Megapixel Canon Powershot A60 35mm, capable of taking pictures at resolutions as high as 1600x1200, comes with a built-in 3x Optical Zoom lends, and a host of other features.
For those of you who don't know me, here's the lowdown:
I'm 31, married, and currently imployed as a customer service rep for a consumer credit card company. I graduated High School in 1990, and began growing my hair the day after graduating, upon deciding it was time for a personal makeover. I've only had a few trims, since, to rid myself of split ends, but haven't seen a the inside of a salon in a couple of years now. I've been fortunate enough to work in an environment that welcomes a rather liberal dress code.
That said, here are my latest and greatest! Enjoy!
NOTE: I took these at 1024x768 resolution, using the camera's Superfine setting. I only used the flash on two of the pics. The camera was mounted on a tripod. I used the camera's 10-second timer feature to take the pics myself.
WARNING: Large file sizes - make take a few minutes to load on dial-up connections.
Correction: Flash used on only ONE pic!

Your mane is AMAZING!
JESUS CRIPES!
Please tell me I will have similar looking hair when it's shoulder blade length.
Please? :)
Last month's progress pics:
My hair last month from the front
My hair last month from the back
Anyway, I love the hair you have going. The clothes are really cool, too.
Do you happen to remember what your hair care routine was back when you were around my stage? Do you have any pictures of it back then?

I wish I could, but not even I knew how my hair would turn out as I was growing it. One thing my experience has taught me is that growing long hair is a life-long experiment in trial and error.

Nice job. Keep it up. :)

Hair is still considered relatively short at your stage. Mine didn't start going haywire until it began touching the nape of my neck. At that point, I was at what's commonly referred to as "the awkward stage", when he absolutely does not want to behave. Period. That's when I started cheating - I wet the whole mess down, brushed everything straight back, and piled on the hair spray. My friends insisted on poking fun at my "new look" by calling me Data (Star Trek reference) until I came to my senses and began wearing it down again. The "Data" look lasted for just over a year before it was long enough to stay down under its own weight.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from that long ago. Then again, I've never been particularly concerned with keeping track of my growth. I learned, very early on, that if I paid too much attention to my hair, growing it would seem to just take that much longer to do. So, I've simply resorted to never having it cut and just taking one day at a time to enjoy life. In fact, the last picture I had taken of myself was nearly 4 years ago.

Doh! That should read, "hair", not "he".

Great hair, could you tell me what shampoos, conditioners and other products you use to make it look so good?

I see this question asked frequently on this board, everytime someone displays healthy, shiny hair. It is important to understand that certain products are designed for specific types of hair. Hair can be fine, medium, course, straight, wavy, curly, dry, oily and in between. What works well on one head of hair, does not necessarily work well on another head of hair. First, you need to identify what kind of hair you have. If you do not know, then ask a friend, or a relative. Then find products specific to your hair needs and experiment. Another huge factor that is overlooked, is your geographic location. Are you located in a dry or humid location? There are many factors contributing to your hair, even the foods you eat.
Keep it growing!
Cheers,
ColdFlu

I use Suave shampoo and conditioner. I use Suave styling gel (in a spritz), after I've showered and towel dried, to keep my hair from frizzing.
I never blow dry.
What game are you playing?

I see in one of your pictures that you're on a launch screen of some game. What is it that you play?
Again, GREAT hair.

My friend plays DAoC. I think he maxed out on his levels, though. How long have you been playing?
I used to play Asheron's Call for quite some time (2 years). It was an entertaining game... :) I'd play DAoC but I simply don't have the time. :(

I've been playing since the game launched nearly 2 years ago. I canceled for a few months last year, but came back after feeling bored one afternoon. I've been online ever since. I have only one character - a Troll Shaman - who finally reached lvl 50 (the highest level in the game) or week or two ago. That's who pictured in the load screen.
GREAT HAIR and...
