Am I "wrong" for this?

I know this is kinda pointless, because it seems everyone respects each persons goal, and mabey I'm just confused at this point on where I want to go with my hair. But my "ultimate" goal is shoulder length hair. I really don't want hair longer than that, because I don't think it's me. I'm also thinking when I get that far, I still might not be pleased, so I'll go further and find my true "liking".
-peace.

i dont think your "wrong" at all.. i personally also only want just past shoulder length hair.. any longer and i certainly think it wouldnt be me.. just grow your hair and be happy when you are happy. if something isnt right then change it or keep going.

Shoulder length is the standard, but then sinceyou are half way to Rome, why not proceed and see where it takes you.
What is the main reason for having longer than shoulder length? Because you would look like a girl? But again that`s stereotypes.

I'm not one to sterotype, but I personally don't think I'd like it until I get there. Of course, once I get more results, my opinion might change dramatically. I'm only in the 6th month of growing my hair, so I still quite the skeptic about how it will fit my lifestyle and general appearance. I'll see when I get there.

Same here, about six months since my last haircut. My bangs, when wet, are about down to the bridge of my nose. I'm going for shoulder-length hair, and my mother always tells me how horrible that would look on me. I forgive her those comments because she's trying to discourage me from growing my hair long and being discriminated against, but I truly wonder (despite her comments) if I would look good with long hair. I'd hate to spend all that time growing it out and getting past these awkward stages only for it to not fit my face or appearance or something. I'm trying very hard to keep a stiff back and my head up in the face of this familial adversity and personal doubt (short hair looks really good on me, but its just so BORING), and it will be all for nothing if I just cut it after all that time.
As of right now, I don't think a ponytail would look good on me, but lets hope I'm wrong about a shoulder length. I'm about 5'10" and slender, not muscular at all. Do you (anyone on this board) think shoulder-length hair would be a problem on me, in terms of how good it will look?
You will have to wait...

By the time your hair gets to your shoulders, you may be a completely 'different'
person than you are now...
It's true. . .your hair changes...
but so will YOU! ...Trust me...
The caterpillar makes a cocoon and is transformed...
this happens to people too.
...so by the time your hair reaches your shoulders, you may decide
to keep it there OR go for something longer.
Good Luck, whatever you do!
