Longhair-Styling-Site

Hi to all longhair-stylingfans,
To correct some misunderstanding, that might have occured relating our site:
our Site is now not designated, to support all kind of men's hairstyling, even not all kinds of longhair-styling, though we would appreciate and welcome people, who like to give some examples and advice for more conventional male longhair-styling, that is maybe someway deficient at our site.
Please consider: we are running a non-profit Site, that makes no money by advertising like Yahoo and others do, or selling addresses to business, that likes to spam you with proposing penis-enlargement or unapt hair-loss-products and so on, but only rely on free contributions of our members.
Our site is no kind of business-service for hairdressers, but instead designed to be a laboratory of unlimited longhair-styling for men.
Here should be a place, where guys try to realize their dreams without asking first: "what's about my job, if I wear this style ?" , "what will my parents say, if they get a look of this style, I'm trying now?", "will I forever loose my chance getting an official invitation to the White House, if I wear this style, when I meet my friends ?" and so on.
so if you still like to try out unrestricted by social conventions some longhair-styles and enjoying a free sharing of expeiences, pictures, styling-advices, hints and other, you might like to visit us at our styling-site.

PS:
please be patient with registration to our Site.
This has to be done, cause we otherwise are getting trouble concerning copyrights with sharing ressources and also in order to prevent to be corrupted by spammers, that step in to each open door spreading porn-links and other kind of trash

Then, shouldn't you be getting rid of questionable material? Sounds to me like you're requiring registration in a vain attemt to keep your material hidden from their respective copyright owners - which you'd only be needing to do if you were stealing it for use on your site.
As for resources, the only thing I can think of that that concern would apply to is if you're linking directly to another site, to load images onto your's. That's also called "stealing", not to mention riding on someone else's bandwidth.

That arguement is unfounded. This forum - and others like it - are a prime example of the flaw behind your reasoning on that point. Your registration is buggy, and wholely unnecessary, even for the reasons you've cited. Get rid of it.

I'm in total agreement with you Nyghtfall. I have been around the web since the late 80's and I also am involved with web development and never heard of "needing" people to register because of copyright laws, etc.
Registering is only used and needed for one purpose and that is to collect information in a database to be used for future promotions, etc..

Your just not up to date with legal affairs:
there's still a main difference between groups sharing some kind of ressources, but if they are closed group, they may do this as private, but NOT public.
We just had some week ago a legal sentence about this: relating music-file-sharing, where this was confirmed.
But it requires, that you're not public accessible, but a closed group, where the members know about another.

As long, as you are mostly dealing with text-material of forum-users I'll fully agree. You have a additional prevention against such spamming, if there are much traffic on some site, so you have more then 10 postings a day and a convention of treating spam.
But if you have a limited number of users, as you have in the first year, a site exists, spammers get a far more heavyer influence, like you might observe in much Yahoo-Groups, that were corrupted this way.
Last to say: we don't intend to compete with this board:
guys should visit and post in this board, as they did until now, while our site is otherwise focussed. Who does not like our focus of experiencing unlimited elaborate longhairstyling and does not want to enter a room, where it's no need to discuss, if we should follow the mainstream or if we're right wearing our hair long, should still stay here or otherwhere, but not disturb the place at our site, where we like to have some kind of unrestricted laboratory to try own and maybe new ways.#
