I have added my September (fifteen month) progress pictures to my website:
Gollan's home page progress pictures
September
Some of the bonus pictures for September show different ways I can part (split) my hair. Feel free to let me know what you think. There is also a picture of my parents' dog on the bonus page for no good reason except that I like the picture. I'm happy with the way my hair is turning out. The bottom few inches in the back are a bit frizzy, not because of split ends but because of a layering effect caused by my original haircut. I've been doing well wearing my hair in a tail. In a business environment it will stay all day with just a little styling gel (no pins needed). If I am going to be outdoors or more active I still have to use pins mid-way between my ears and the tail. This keeps the bangs from coming loose. For the short-term a tail is a good way for me to wear my hair. Eventually it will be long enough that it will stay out of my face when it is down and then it will be
much more practical to live with it down. That will be my next milestone. When I started this adventure fifteen months ago I had no idea how long I wanted my hair. I still don't know. I'm on a journey
and I'll know my stop when I see it. Thanks to everyone on the Men's Long Hair Hyperboard for the support and encouragement.
A couple more things...

FWIW, new glasses are in the pipeline. My complicated prescription ensures that (a) I can't wear contacts, and (b) I can never get my glasses in "just one hour". It takes a few weeks!
I have no idea why it mangled my original post. Here are the links hopefully better formatted:

It's coming along. Definitely in the awkward stage, but I think you will emerge it eventually.

Gollan,
Your hair has great texture and is thick. It seems many of us here, including myself, feel a fair amount of panic as we notice more hairs than we ever used when we wash or brush our hair. We have to keep reminding ourselves that this is only because each hair is longer now and thus more noticeable.
Have you also noticed this as your hair has gotten longer? Or do you rarely notice hairs coming out?
Hairs falling out...

Yes, I get a number of hairs falling out when I comb it, even though I comb gently and carefully. In particular when I wear my hair in a ponytail all day and then comb it out I get quite the hairball in the sink. My hair is not thinning or balding in any way.
I suppose I could take a picture of my typical daily hair loss. It would be gross but I could do it in the interests of hair science.

I too have noticed lately a little more hair than I am used to seeing come out in my comb. Not too alarmed though with how thick my hair is. I figure I have the creditials to afford it. Peace!

Considering the fact that I comb my hair every other day, I shouldn't complain about the amount of hair that I see in my comb and in the sink. I'm surprised the resulting hairball isn't bigger??!!
It's...

...comin along! Can't wait until mine gets that long! I have to wear a hat all day (or half a bottle of gel), so when I get home I try taking off my hat and putting my hair in a tail, but it falls out everywhere. Even a half tail won't work. Glad to see such great progess with your hair.

Wow, I can't beleive how much better you look with long hair than with short. I honestly don't beleive that long hair fits every guys face, but it definetly looks good on you. You're a huge inspiration for me, becuase we have similar facial structure and hair types. Right now I'm somewhere inbetween your January and March pics and I've been growing since january from a head shaved as short as your webcam pic. It's so inspiring to know that I'm halfway to having hair as awesome as yours. Thanks dude.
