Locks of Love yet again..

Tonight I was informed that a girl who lives very close to me is planning on donating her hair to Locks of Love. Despite the fact that she dosen't want to loose her nearly waist-length asian hair, she is getting 16 inches chopped off and sent to a 'little girl with cancer'. In any case, I informed her about locks of love and showed her the report that was linked in Jenn's post a few days ago. Neither her nor her friends believed anything I told them (even with the facts right there on the screen) and she plans to get the cut next weekend. I guess that's one more victory for LOL.

You do realize of course it's your responsibility to stop her, right? Please, you've got to try again. It pains me just thinking about this. Why would she donate her hair if she doesn't want to lose it? Especially when the organization she's donating to is corrupt... Please man, do what any of us would do. You've got to help her. She's going to be hurting so bad when this is over with.

Well, I would give it one more good try. If she still doesn't want to believe you, it's her hair and she can do what she wants with it. It seems like such a waste though...

They don't have to believe YOU, all they need to do is go to the L.O.L. website and go through their FAQs. She will find out that her hair probably won't get sent to a little girl with cancer and if it did make it through everything else they do with their hair to get to some girl who is 9 or over then she will never know about it, she'll just have to imagine what she wants to hear.
