Mother in Law (a tribute)

My mum in law died recently.
I'll miss her a lot for many reasons, as she was very good to me.
She was also the first person to notice my hair when I first started to grow it. She didn't say anything, but as one of the little extra presents she always gave for Christmas, she got me a bottle of a good quality shampoo. When a little later, it was long enough to wear in a ponytail, she was the first person to say something good about it. ("Oh, I do like that!").
So, I wondered: who is (or was) your favourite relative, and why?

My condolences on your loss.
I don't really have a favorite relative. Ever since seeing "The Addams Family" movie, I've been convinced I was adopted.
LOL

Sorry to hear of your loss, she sounds like a wonderful person. My condolences to you and your family.
To answer your question, my 97 yo Grandma is the most amazing about my long hair in the last few years. The only thing she tried was once we were at dinner (just me, wife and Grandma) and she went on about how "pretty" it was. You'd have to know her, but that was her subtle attempt to get me to cut it. LOL, it didn't work and she has never said a word since. And this is from a very conservative farm wife in the US Midwest.
