As Promised: Tying A Bandana
Posted by Gollan on March 12, 2004 at 12:53:30: Previous Next
As I promised in an earlier thread I have added a page that has picture instructions on how to tie a bandana. This page is not yet linked to my main website. I have another big technology update almost ready to go live and I will link in the bandana page at that time. Meanwhile you can click the link below for an advanced look. I welcome constructive comments.

Great page!
For style 2, one hint: You can tie it in front (where your forehead is) and then lift it off and reinstall it with the knot in back. This will keep you from getting your hair caught in the knot. If you have curly hair it is almost impossible to not get hair caught in the knot if you tie it in back.
This works for style 2 (the band) but not style 1 (the cap). The cap is too loosely bound and will fall apart if you try this.
Great tip

You could tie your hair back in a high tail, then tie the bandana at the bottom of your hairline, then let your hair loose and brush it back over the bandana.

I've often wondered how the guys I've seen wearing bandanas wear them so effectively. Thanks! Now I can finally start wearing my own!
Thanks!

Thanks , It helps to see how, I am gonna have to try it some time. I'll just have to be carefull not to catch my hair when tying.

Thanks for the info: Last time I checked, I was unable to find any websites that detailed such information, save for Alopeciaboy's website. I still use the Alopecian method to this day (Learn it for yourself by going to www.alopeciaboy.net/Bandanas.html), but I think I might give your method for tying a bandana headband a try.
