Breaking my...hair!

I cant seem to find a reason for my hair breaking so much, I've tried several different things, but still, my brush is full of hair, and it seems I have more short hair (thats growing back) than long!
Any tips on how in th' hell I may save myself from starting all over?

One tip I can offer is to use a Boar Bristle brush. It's alot more gentle on the hair shaft.
Say no to hair dryers!

I of course don't know how you style your hair. However, I do know from past experience that when I would blow dry my hair (heat setting) that it damaged my hair and then the hair fell out. I know it's tempting to try to get hair straight when you have wavy hair, but it's best to let your hair do it's own thing, I've found. I don't have a problem with hairs falling out in excess anymore (about 25 a day is normal)-now I let my hair air dry and only wash it with shampoo/conditioner like every other day (make sure you rinse with cool water).
Oil (coconut or natural scalp oil) makes hair heavier so that it won't fly away-stay away from brushing if you've got similar hair to mine (wavy and lightweight), it will just get frizzed-comb it with your fingers instead to move scalp oil from the scalp to the ends of your hair. Sound like your hair needs moisture-just remember that oil moisturizes but that warm water washes most of it away, so use cooler water on your hair.
The same thing happened to me 7 years ago and I thought I was just goin down cue ball lane, so I cut 3 feet of growth off. I still have a full head of hair and have been growing it out for the last year, except this time I know how to take care of my hair.
Hope this helps!
