How many of you, either brush or fix your girlfreind's/wife's/significant other's hair for her (This is specifically about straight or Bi men) just wondering if it would be plausible to have a male charecter in a story I'm writing brush out her hair for her as an intimant thing

I do it frequently in the evenings as a way to unwind, and it does give us some "special time" to share.

In real life, I don't know many women who love to have their hair combed
or brushed by a man.
(Note: I didn't say ALL...I said 'many')
Though, if you are writing some kind of romantic story, it might
be quite original to have the woman brushing the guy's long hair!

Not exactly a romance, it's an adventure with a certain amount of romance involved, and yes I was considering that

I used to plait my wife's hair quite often. Haven't done that lately though.

I brush it for her when she wants a nice head rub. She's also disabled, so I wash it for her, too.
very kind of you

If I may ask is she ok? What happened to her? It is very kind of you to take care of her. I can relate, I spend alot of time careing for my mom, although she is getting more self sufficient every day.

Osteo-arthritis. She's been homebound for the last 6 years, and is unable to work. She collects social security disability. It's stressful, but we get through one day at a time.

You'd be surprised what you can do for someone when you're in love.

Sounds like a really intimate idea... works for me, though probably more widely plausible as her brushing his hair.

Yes, although his hair is long in fact for most of their relationship his hair has been longer than her's, so he better knows how to deal with long hair. The story involves super nautral elements, including her transformation into a half deomeness like him, which causes unautrally quick hair growth and I thought it would be cute and intresting for him to help her deal with the extra length.

Sometimes brushing you partner's hair can be a bit arousing (not to put one into a rutting lust, but making one stand up and say 'hi' while you are trying to work. ;-) ]The feelings involved can also depend on the job done or the job required. To be more specific: are there snarles and tangles, are they easily brushed out or does each tangle need to be meticulously attended? Changing brushes, working in sections, any extra treatments, i.e.,spray-on conditioner? How about the talk(if any) during this session[s]? Are they discussing banes and benifits to having long hair, or at least in your story, having it grow so rapidly? There is a lot to do and even talk about while attending someone else's hair, especially if it is someone special.
So keep us posted on your progress and for any insight. i'm sure we all would love to read it.

The story is a fan-fic based on the graphic novel Inu-Yasha, in my story Kagome has become a half demoness, because of something odd in the well, causing a considerable change in her appearence, including a sudden addition of length to her hair. You can read the beaganinning of the story on my blog at http://www.ebloggy.com/blog.php?username=Madam_Mew_Mew&id=1

Okay, now that I have a better reference point. I've seen the (dubbed)anime a couple of times and checked a fan site for more info on the charaters. At the point in the story that I've seen Kagome still hasn't regained her memory fully. Maybe Inu-Yasha starts to relate caring for her hair to caring for Kagome? While brushing it is tempting to smell the aroma or the subjects hair whether consciencely or not. There is also playful tug during conversation, usually to bring the subject of the brushing's head back for more direct conversing or to steal a kiss. [Do half-demons in 'ancient' Japan Smooch?]I guess it can also go both ways as that Kagome may also have such feels. Having someone else brush your hair can start with some chills (as you did write) it can also be relaxing which may alsolead to some amourous feelings surfacing. Just something to think about.
Also, I couldn't access the start of the story. Your link only got me to the second part.

Thank you so much for your commentary, here's the first par: Inu-Yasha sat by the fire and brooded, it had been a week since Kagome had left. Damn him for a fool. How did the monk do it? Sweet words, sweet words that didn’t come easily to him. He poked at the fire with a stick, and flattened his ears to his head. He drew in a deep breath, and smelled, was it, yes Kagome. He turned to see a back lit silhouette standing on top of the rise. He sniffed getting her scent more clearly, Kagome, mixed with another demon who’s scent he didn’t know. The scent was strong on her. The two had been in close contact. Just as he was about to fly into a vicious rage he noticed the demon had been female. He sniffed once more and noted the species of the demoness, a cat demon, but what had Kagome been doing with a cat demon.
“Kagome?” He called out
She ran down the hill, with a grace and agility Inu-Yasha hadn’t known she possessed, leaping high over, stones and logs. When she got to the bottom Inu-Yasha looked her over, she was certainly dressed differently. Instead of the usual “School Uniform” as she called it, she wore a close fitting black dress, her hair which she normally wore down was pulled back into a bun held with jeweled hair sticks and at her side hung a large vicious looking steel blade with a jeweled hilt. Inu-yasha noticed something odd perched on her head, small, black, velvety, pointed. Good lord, ears and fangs. He looked at her hands, delicate, beautiful hands which now sported five deadly sharp claws on each one.
“Kagome is that you?”
“I have no idea who your talking about, my name is Neko-Yasha cat demoness, bounty hunter, sword for hire, and adventurer. You are?”
“Inu-Yasha, half dog demon, relic recoverer, demon killer, protector of Kagome high priestess of the near by village and if you make me angry quite possibly you death.”
“Don’t be vain you mutt, I am of pure demon stock though this is my true form. “ She sneered as she stared at the half breed standing before her. He was unquestionably attractive, long silky white hair, a lean, but clearly muscular frame.
“Pure breed then, so sure your not over breed?”
“Useless cur.”
“Pretty face with nothing behind it.”
“Muscle bound mongrel.”
“Wait, a moment you smell like Kagome. Why?”
“Who is this girl you speak of?”
“The village priestess, and... My companion. You look almost exactly like her.” Inu-Yasha bit his lip.
“Does she have fangs, claws, ears, a tail?”
“Hmm I hadn’t noticed the tail, but no she’s a human. Your face, and body though.” He looked at the fluffy black tail, it’s tip switched back and fourth.
“A human? I smell like her?”
“Yes and this is strange enough already, because she already shares her soul and appearance with another human.”
“How?”
“She’s a reincarnation of the old priestess, the priestess who killed me.”
“A reincarnation? Than what can I be?”
“It’s not as if I have any idea.” He turned his back on her and glared into the horizon
“Could her soul have split? Half going to me and half going to this Kagome you speak of.”
“Feh.” He spat. He crossed his arms, that scent the delicate scent of Kagome mixed with the scent of demoness. Since he’d met Kagome he’d imagined how nice it would be to scent her like that, scent her like a demoness, like a women he could take. This cat demon made him think entirely too much about the pleasures too long denied him. He could smell the warmth of her, and the smell of woman. It was like a magic potion Kagome, demoness, and the scent of…. He shook his head a little to clear it of the thoughts that were causing him to feel rather uncomfortable, and he’d much rather be faithful to Kagome anyway.
“Where do you come from demoness?”
“Well the thing is I’m not quite sure. I know a bit about who and what I am, but very little recollection of the past. I woke up a few miles from here under a tree, near a well. All that I own is here my clothes, my hair pins, my sword and the contains of my bundle.”
“Could it be, no. She can’t be.” Inu-Yasha thought wildly.
“What is in the bundle?” He said softly. She wasn’t Kagome, she was a demoness, a woman he could have.
“Umm, don’t know yet let me see.” She bent down to untie the strings from her bundle. Inu-Yasha watched with interest as bent down her lovely form, quite revealed by the short, tight dress. She undid the strings and opened the bundle, inside were:
1: A packet of dried oregano
2: A tube of lip gloss
3: A pale yellow scrunchie
4: A set of dragon hilted throwing daggers
5. A vial of a noxious looking green liquid, probably poison for the daggers
6: Clothing, kimono, sandals, undergarments (Inu-Yasha was rather interested by these) etc
7: Food stuff hard crackers, dried meat, a water skin and a bag of potato chips
8: A tiny portrait of Inu-Yasha
9: A hair brush
10: Jewelry and some toiletries
11: and a bottle of what looked like Shikon shards
Inu-Yasha picked up the bottle of shards and asked “How did you get these?”
She looked at little woozy, perhaps even sick.
“I remember those, YES. I’ve traveled a long time with two men to find them. They’re very important some how. One of the men was a monk, and the other was-was-was… he looked a lot like you. Recently a young human women joined us, the monk liked her. Humans and their petty romances, when a demoness finds her mate, she knows and they mate for life.”
She lay on Inu-Yasha’s bedroll, her upper half supported by his arm. Her eyes were half shut as if she were close to sleep, and her voice was halting and labored.
Inu-Yasha thought “Mate for life, mine forever. Kagome.”
“What’s the last you remember before waking? Tell me girl or I shall show you it’s not just cats with claws.”
“Falling, through the well, I was in a dark building before and then I fell and it hurt, then darkness, but just before the darkness I saw, your face. It’s coming back now. I saw your face in my mind and I was thinking about how much I wanted to see you just once more, before I died,

YES, I love for my hair to be brushed or even stroked as an intimate gesture. I would find hair brushing intriguing in a story performed by either partner.
