Progress Picture [3 years]

I've been growing my hair for almost three years since having it all (willingly) shaved off close to my 16th birthday.
I think my growth rate is fairly slow, but the various minor trims I've had through the years may account for the extra hair I think I should have.

Thanks for the kind comment. To be honest with you, I prefer to wear my hair loose as often as possible. During the summer months it's simply too hot not to have it tied up - but in the winter I often resort to using a beanie/bandana to keep it all in place when I'm doing an activity that leaves me at the mercy of the breeze :)

Nice site, btw. The opening screen has nice aesthetics without resorting to plug-ins.

Thanks, I'm one of those pure html junkies, I'd still be using notepad to create my sites if FrontPage hadn't lured me to the dark side with its labour-saving hocus-pocus!

Ack! Begone, foul Microsoft!
Seriously, have you used Macromedia's Dreamweaver? The interface is more intense than FrontPage, but it's far cleaner and more useful overall. The knowledge is well worth the time investment.

I also agree with the yum yum on the hair and looks. Super pic and very nice looking to boot. Also Dreamweaver is the only way to go. I use it everyday at work and it is by far the best. Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much. My aim is lower back/butt length - all that's left is to see if it's willing to go that far!

True...............The hair of "Resonance" is to die for! But especially impressive is his writings. (Has anyone read the Poetry?) True Genious abounds within this wonderment of todays society. I dare say he would be an "extremely" hard-act to follow by the ordinary Human Being, be it of today or in Centurys of olde.

Hey dude, what's all the fuss. You have very nice and healthy hair. i am a hairdresser with hair past my ass and it is a total pain to maintain. Keep getting the ends trimmed and use good shampoo and conditioner, that's the key. Good Luck!

Under your awesome and enviable head of hair is a powerful and senitive brain. Your message suggests you're about 18-19. Your poetry is powerful. What are your life plans, if you don't mind the inquiry? Are you in school? Have you won any awards for your poetry?

Firstly, is this Bill as in Bill Choisser? If so, then may I say that your FAQ entitled "On Being a Longhair" (http://www.choisser.com/longhair/) is the most useful thing I've read when it comes to hair. Your personal website suggests that we are a similar sort of person and I've always regarded you as a sort of inspiration. Feel free to drop me an e-mail anytime.
If this isn't Bill Choisser, sorry - I'm sure you're a great guy as well ;)

Thank you very much for the compliments. I live in London, England and I'm approaching my 19th birthday. I've recently finished up at school and am currently taking a year out before I start University. My intentions for my formal career are to teach English Literature part-time, though song writing will always be one of my main passions.
I'm gradually building up a good collection of poetry - the only thing I have achieved so far with it is to win the creative writing competition at my old school. I plan to look into publishing opportunities.

Hi Resonance,
I'll do that, and thanks for the comments on my site!
Though the "Bill" posts on here are generally from me, it is a common name and sometimes others will post under it. Despite what the FAQ says, I'm not gonna complain if someone wants to use it and it's actually his name. A guy ought to be able to use his own name anyplace. In this case, the post was by someone other than me. He did have some very nice things to say about you. :-)
Because my name is common, I always provide a link to my web page under my signature - that way people know a post is mine. I used to put my e-mail address under my name up top, but the way I do it now ought to cut down spam more. If anyone wants to contact me, he can easily do it from my web page.

Resonance: I am a different Bill but frequent this site nearly daily. I am not surprised that you have won a poetry award. You would very likely make a great english teacher. Although young yourself at this time in your life the world needs good, bright, creative male role models in its classrooms . SO I hope you do it someday. Also, keep growing. You even look bright. Cheers.

Sorry about the mix-up, Bill, hopefully I didn't cause any offence :) Thanks again for your feedback - teachers seem to be in such short supply over in the UK right now that I think it's for the best that I go for it!

if what is pictured represents almost 3 years growth from a shave then i must respectfully differ with your assessment. i suspect that as long as one's hair is short of the goal length the hair will always be growing 'too slowly'.
btw, nice site.

Rightly said... I think that ever since hearing the "hair grows 6-8 inches every year" line, I've subconsciously convinced myself I should have hair to my lower back by now. The mane has a mind of its own!
Thanks for the comment on the site.

I think your hair looks great. don't get disappointed with the growth, it will come. i decided i wanted my hair long but i didn't know how long. the longer it got the more i liked it and didn't want to get it cut. it's half way down my back now. you have the kind of hair that should be kept loose. i hope you don't tie it in the back too much. i do see you have the front behind your ears. what do you look like without it behind your ears? I love to see more pics of you.
